About Us

Since 2018, the AMPLIFY Digital Arts Initiative has hosted 95 women-identifying artists and professionals representing 9 different nationalities.

Designed to foster connections, networking and career opportunities, and create solidarity between participants, the program offers capacity building sessions that address digital skills, discursive activities that highlight artistic practice and social issues, while providing showcasing opportunities that transcend the north-south geographic axis.

ARTISTS TESTIMONIALS

I had the opportunity to generate different collaborations, for example with rkss and CLON. It also gave me a lot of visibility within the scene in Argentina. Beyond that, I learned about different tools and software that I am adding to my design proposals.

It contributed a lot to my personal growth, professionally it helped me to achieve respect or artistic credibility from my community, and artistically it was a very significant plus, so much so that an international (Chilean) label was encouraged to publish my works, a French festival flattered my sound works, including them in lists of new independent music, I got hired to carry out the sound design for a series of independent animations and winning projects of the FNA and I know that there are many things to come. Having participated contributed to my confidence in my passion for sound and all its possibilities.

This program helped me understand the challenges of being a digital artist and being a woman in this industry. It gave me skills to better navigate in the domain and gave me new connections with artists and curators. It gave me more confidence and gave me a lot of hope for the future. It makes me want to continue.

My week at Somerset House Studios as part of Amplify was one of the most wonderful weeks of my life. I felt so inspired by the work that I saw being done at the studios, and by the work that I was exposed to by my fellow Amplify artists. It was incredibly gratifying to be included as part of this cohort.
