Since 2018, the AMPLIFY Digital Arts Initiative has hosted more than 100 women-identifying artists and professionals representing 9 different nationalities.
Designed to foster connections, networking and career opportunities, and create solidarity between participants, the program offers capacity building sessions that address digital skills, discursive activities that highlight artistic practice and social issues, while providing showcasing opportunities that transcend the north-south geographic axis.
A transcontinental circuit of festivals, events and institutions that extends through Canada, Latin America and the UK, serving as the meeting points and activation sites for each cohort. Across 6 different countries now, this has included MUTEK festivals in Montréal, Buenos Aires and Mexico City, Somerset House Studios in London, Espacio Fundación Telefónica in Lima, Peru, Amazonia Mapping, Novas Frequencias and Multiplicidade in Brazil and satellite activities at MUTEK Barcelona and MUTEK Japan.
