Argentinian music producer Milagros Castillo

Milagros Castillo was born in the Province of Corrientes and currently resides in the city of Buenos Aires, where she is finishing her bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Arts at the UNA. CANDIE is her multimedia project, where she experiments with different languages and artistic techniques in which the creation of artworks and their media are generated through discourses like popular culture, social critique, introspection and the technological era that precedes us. The musical aesthetics that she uses juxtaposes aggressive percussion with melancholy and dark melodies, balanced against undertones of trance, eliciting an emotive dance music that strives for catharsis. Her live sets are augmented by audio-rhythmic lighting, effects, and smoke machines that serve to create a surrealistic, immersive atmosphere. CANDIE is part of the TRRUENO audiovisual collective.
