Dora Bartilotti is a new media artist based in Mexico where she studied Design and Visual Communication at the National Autonomous University of Mexico, specializing in audiovisual and multimedia. Her work addresses the intersections between art, design, pedagogy and technology. She was co-founder of BINARIO: International Festival of Art, Design and Culture of the New Media and of the audiovisual performance collective #FFFF. She is also part of Medialabmx, an organization whose objective is the research and development of links between art, technology and society. She is currently a resident at BBVA Bancomer – CCD Immersion Laboratory, and recently at Platohedro – Medellín. Her work Voz Pública is an ongoing tactical mediation and participatory art piece based on an internet platform, an electronic textile device and a series of urban laboratories that together seek to form a network of collaborative actions, locally and virtually, to address the problem of gender violence in the urban context in Latin America.
