Self-taught Argentinian musician, composer and sound experimenter Luz Casares, resident in the province of Chubut.

Her career is based on an independent journey where she has investigated the creation of multiple projects in the cities of Mendoza and Comodoro Rivadavia. 

Her sound is based on the chiptune / 8bits aesthetic, combining conventional instruments (drums) with non-conventional ones (Commodore64 and oscillators), and combining raw sounds with her ethereal voice. The songs recount the experience of a space commander (Kion) exploring what it feels like to live on Planet Earth. Currently, the aesthetic is in a transition towards new rhythmic possibilities of a more experimental danceable pop genre.

She was selected in 2021 to be part of the Amplify network representing Patagonia. She has two studio albums recorded with her experimental project Kion: Amatista (Mendoza, 2019) and Singular (Comodoro Rivadavia, 2021). She has played in the cities of La Plata, Buenos Aires, Mendoza, San Juan, Comodoro, Rada Tilly and Caleta Olivia (Santa Cruz) mainly in solo set format.
