Montréal-based, South America-born French producer, DJ and multi-instrumentalist Ourielle Auvé

Oscillating between vibrant heights and melancholic valleys in a hybrid electronic dimension, Ouri merges her strength and truth with lush chaos—weaving ambient and bass-driven production into her own impassioned, rhythmic, abstract style. Ouri’s multi-instrumental talents and classical training steer her electronic approach toward melody and bass in entrancingly emotive, bold and playful ways, pairing traditional song structure with abstract spatial dynamics. Using synthesizers, steel-guitar, cello and multiple effect pedals both in recordings and live, she builds atmospheres of transcendental tension between aggressive rhythmic progression and a soothing harmonic fluidity. A creative collaborator, Ouri melds emotive vocals by Odile Myrtil and Munya into ornate ambient songwriting on her album Superficial, has worked with future-house producer cRi and collaborated with Mind Bath on a self-titled EP that rebalances masculine and feminine stereotypes; tenderness with aggression. Later work showcases her voice’s wide range, set among deep bass and slow breakbeats, where harmonious melodies and samples span harmony and dissonance.
